As of 1 January 2013 the Office of International Education ceased to exist and its tasks divided between the University of Iceland and the Icelandic Centre for Research (Rannís).
Tasks related to the University of Iceland will be managed by its International Office.
National tasks such as the National Agency for the Lifelong Learning Program, the National Agency for the Nordplus program and others will be managed by Rannís.
